April29, 2026 – Sunshine

I’m sitting at our kitchen counter. It’s 0645, the skies are clear, and not a whisper of wind stirs. It’s a perfect day brewing. Max isn’t up yet or he would have seen what a wonderful day lies ahead of us and he would be wielding his sad little puppy-dog eyes, luring me in to escorting him outside. He’s very good at luring.

And, I’m a pushover for him.

Before the day progresses too far, I must make another attempt to decrypt the paper piles in the computer room. The easy way would be to put it all in a large box and set it aside to see what rises to the top for my attention. If, after waiting for a reasonable time, nothing changes, then I can shred it all. That’s a rule i just made up and, since I’m the only one making such decisions, it will be passed into law with no arguements.

The Little Dog has arrived so I must stop and cater to him for a while.

. . . P a u s e . . .

We’re home. It was a chilly walk ending at our home where the bushes are blossoming like crazy. I love this time of year.

On the corners girls in shorts and skimpy tops stood waiting for their school bus. The temp is a little under 50 degrees but the clear skies have a promise of a warm day so they probably got it right. Me? I’m wearing two zip up sweaters and I should have worn gloves. My little fingers are crispy but it’d truly beautiful out there.

I’ll leave you with that.
